Regular maintenance and servicing of your sewing machine is critical if it is to preform well and last for years to come. With proper care and maintenance, your machine can (and should) last a lifetime. At a minimum, you should clean and oil your machine as recommended in your user manual once for every 8 to 12 hours of sewing. A lint brush and bottle of clean machine oil are all you need. Remove the bobbin throat plate and dust out any accumulated lint with a brush. A drop of oil on the bobbin race will keep things running smoothly in between service appointments. We will review the oiling points for your particular machine with you at the end of our visit.
Have you lost the manual for your machine? Most machine manuals are available on line for free. If you need a copy of your machine manual, please let us know when you schedule your appointment and we will track down the appropriate manual for you. We will never charge you for PDF manuals, but there will be a nominal fee for printing and spiral binding if you need a physical copy.
